Online booking for your nail studio: plan long treatments and refills the smart way
A new set of gel nails easily takes two hours. A refill takes an hour. And the client who doesn’t show up today leaves a gap that costs you almost half an afternoon. In a nail studio every appointment is long, and every missed appointment is expensive.
At the same time, your clients come back very regularly: every three to four weeks. That makes planning predictable, as long as your agenda cooperates. In this article you’ll see how to set up your nail studio’s agenda with ChairIt.
1. Create treatments with an honest duration
For each treatment, record how long it really takes, including tidying up: a new set of gel or acrylic, refill, gel polish, manicure, pedicure. Group them into categories such as hands and feet. An honest duration prevents running late, and ensures only times that truly fit are offered online.
2. Let clients book combinations in one go
Removal plus a new set, a refill plus nail art, or a manicure with gel polish: clients often book them together. In ChairIt they choose several treatments in one appointment. These are planned back to back with the same technician, with the time and price added up. That way you can also offer nail art as a short extra treatment.

3. Book the next refill straight away
Clients with gel nails have to come back. So book the next refill right at checkout, three or four weeks ahead. Your client has a fixed slot, and you have a full agenda. Would your client rather do it herself? She can, online, at any time.
4. Keep track of preferences per client
Shape, length, favourite colours and details such as sensitive cuticles: put them in the notes of the client record. At the next appointment you see them straight away, together with previous visits. That way every client feels recognised, even when a colleague helps her.

5. Protect your long appointments against no-shows
With a two-hour appointment, a no-show hurts extra. So let clients cancel or reschedule online up to a moment you choose, so the slot frees up in time. Mark no-shows in the client record, so you spot patterns.
With ChairIt Pro you send reminders by email and text message. You can also ask new clients, or clients who didn’t show up before, to pay upfront. Especially with long treatments that’s a welcome safety net.
In a nail studio, your agenda is your revenue. Every empty two-hour chair counts.
